My arrest story, part three

After my little chat with the Gestapo, I was once again locked in my cell, doing nothing, awaiting their return with baited breath. The custody sarge came by a few mins later, and was just checking up on me, said he was responsible for my welfare and said I seemed like a nice person.

While I was sitting on the side of my bed, in my white clothes, with my head in my hands, I heard footsteps coming down the corridor, and I knew they were coming to my cell – I was the only one in the cells, from what I saw earlier. The door unlocked, and the two special branch twats walked in, flanked by Shit-For-Brains and the custody sarge.

The older, white special branch person had a seat next to me, and told me that he’d called my parents and advised them of my situation. He told them that they HAD to dispose of ALL of my airsoft weaponry, and that they were to take it to the nearest police station. He told me that I MUST dispose of all of my combat gear, and that I MUST NOT play airsoft anymore. He said that im a smart enough kid and I will find something else that I will find interesting.

They also tell me that they will be keeping an eye on me from now on, then he and his asian counterpart departs the scene.

The custody sarge tells me to come to the adjacent cell to pick up all my stuff and my clothes, he starts cutting open the evidence bags and hands all my stuff to me. While I was getting dressed. Shit-For-Brains was staring at me, and I ask him for some privacy while I get dressed, and he just scoffs at me. While I put on my underwear, I bend over towards him, and I let another one rip, saying something like “Well I tried to warn you”.

When I was “signing out”, Shit-For-Brains told me about the phone call whitey had with my dad earlier – it went something along like this:

“So he had a chat with your dad, and your dad asked when can he come pick you up. He (whitey) said in 2 years, then your dad started crying”. A second pause later, then Shit-For-Brains started laughing about it, saying something like “Its funny, your dad started crying”.

Hes lucky he didn’t have his gun with him. I would have shot him and kept shooting till I ran out of bullets, or someone killed me.

Just before being let out of the police station, Shit-For-Brains told me “Had you not been soo compliant, things would have been different”. I asked him how so, he said “Had you not have been soo compliant, I would have shot you, and you would have died”. I asked him what did I do wrong, he said “Look, lets face it, suicide bombers are Asian. If I had a choice between you and him (pointing to a white colleage), id shoot you every time”.

The Gun Saga

After I got home, I had a long chat with my parents, who were, surprisingly, on my side. They told me that they had not taken my airsofting kit to the police station, and that I had to do it, because they didnt know where it was in my room. Fair doo’s then. So I packaged up all of my kit, and lugged it down to WImbledon Police Station, and asked to speak to an Inspector regarding handing in of some replica firearms.

The PC there was quite young and inexperienced, so radio’ed down for his Inspector to come down, then he asked if he could take a look at the kit. I had no problems with it, so he put on a glove, and started having a shifty around my rifle and pistol – he was amazed at how realistic they looked and he wondered how much they cost – I told him in excess of £1000 iv spent on it, and he was shocked that I was “willing to give it up” – I explained to him that I didnt really have a choice in the matter.

I explained to the Inspector (Inspector Fowler) that Special Branch told me that I HAD to get rid of my weapons tonight and that I cannot keep them. He was a bit dubious about this, and rightly so – he said that since I havnt actually committed a crime, they cannot forcefully take the weapon away from me – I can wilfully hand it in, but I was under no requirement to, and I would be perfectly within the law to keep it. I told him again what Special Branch told me, and he said he would call the station where I was arrested to get the whole story.

After a few minutes of being on the phone, he told me that I dont have to give in the weapon if I dont want to, and hes not going to force me to. He did say that if the other police station was willing to force me to take it, he would do it, but they were reluctant to. All they claimed was they ADVISED me to get rid of the weapon INCASE someone thinks they are real guns. He said that he went paintballing a few times and found it fun and enjoyable, and he said I can keep my guns as long as I kept to the law. He wished me a good night and wrote down this whole saga in his notebook, incase I got a follow up from Special Branch – he said he was willing to tell them that I had come in and he refused to take it. A top notch officer.

Bloody hell, hope that you’re okay after this.

Once we might have imagined that this sort of thing would only happen in China or N Korea, and I’m appalled that it could be happening in the UK (and the US). I would hope (though doubt) that someone would be held to account for such an abuse of power.

And now they’ve got your DNA, you’ll never be able to have the data removed from their database

Thanks for sharing your story. It sounds like a nightmare.

This was truly chilling, you should wright to your local MP.
Would you keep us updated if any more comes of this?

What a complete nightmare- are you going to make a formal complaint about your treatment.
    Good luck to you.

    Clear case of racist cock-sucking-nazi-pigs.
    Contact a lawyer, immediately.

    Sue the fucking cunts.

    I’m still watching you….

Seriously though, complaining to the police integrity commission might be worth your time. It won’t change anything that happened, but it will put a mark on the officers record so that if he continues to abuse his power then his superiors can take action. Given you were asking pertinent questions in a sensitive area he was right to ask you for id, he was not right to do anything else (IMHO).
Don’t worry about the DNA, they are not allowed to keep it.
Also, did you ask your dad if the officer said that you would be out in two years? if so I seriously would complain about that. The police are supposed to be a community service.
I had a (sort of) similar experience with a security officer at a court (i’m a computer tech for the government) I always regretted not writing a letter of complaint.

you do not have to give your name and address when asked

it’s a trick they use to get you to comply! if you answer they take this as consent

see what this guy did when 2 coppers came up to him in London much in the same way as you

You should have gotten their names and tried to record/ or to try to remember them somehow- for evidence. You should try to remember the time, for reference, and to describe them in detail, age, accents, eye- hair color, size, physical defects, etc. You should be aware to do this as these events are happening- it is the only way to report them. Name and shame. And then file a legal complaint. This may prevent this from happening again. Of course, it will be their word against yours, and they will only lie- were their any other civilians around to be witnesses?

Don’t make a complaint to the (so-called) IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission) if you are going to sue them at some point. Save it till afterwards, otherwise everything you say in your complaint will be used to stop you suing them.

It’s all bad what happened, but par for the course these days, whether you’re Asian or dissenting through protest, or really just not going along with the police’s bullyboy tactics. 5-10 years ago they used to mostly vaguely respect the law, when they knew it or you reminded them of it. Now they don’t care if they abuse their powers, wrongly arrest you and you sue them afterwards – it’s job done on the day they care about only.

If you sue them, use a solicitor that has done this before, such as Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield. It’s still not too late (I think), though there is a timelimit.

hi i am really sorry this happened to you. What a horrible ordeal you went through.

I find it all really horrible.
I truly am sorry for what you went through. And i hope you are OK. thank you for posting and telling people about it.

This is a truly terrifying story. Did you ever make a complaint, or sue? You should definitely, without any doubt, do the former, and could probably do the latter. The whole story is completely insane.

File an official complaint ASAP, and see a lawyer. Your rights were clearly violated here.

    >Don’t worry about the DNA, they are not allowed to keep it.

Hmmm. At the moment they still do, even though the Eurupean Court of Human Rights has unanimously rules against it.

Is this what you people put up with in England?

In America this would be grounds for calling up a militia and executing all of the officers involved.

Oi Dekionplexis! Don’t use cock-sucker as an insult, especially in this context. Gay people have suffered more than most from abuse of power.

Any further news arising from this story? Did you make a complaint?
